![]() However there is another Window 2012 R2 server required for this POC which hosts some third-party smartcard software. I understand the EULA to mean any Connection Servers, Security Servers, Replica Servers, etc., including Active Directory in this case, which are required for a View implementation. I understand that View Standard includes vSphere Desktop and vCenter Desktop, which provides the hosting facility for the VDI desktops as well as "running VMware products which are included in VMware View Enterprise, VMware Horizon View or the VMware Horizon Suite, or third party connection brokers and desktop management and monitoring tools" (from the VMware View EULA). There will be a new Active Directory service installed on Server 2012 R2 as part of this implementation. This is for a new VDI POC implementation consisting of around 35 Windows 8 and Win 7 desktops along with a couple of View Connection servers. I wish to purchase 4 x 10 pack View Standard licenses. I've checked over the relevant View licensing and packaging document but don't seem to be able to identify a specific answer to my scenario. I have a quick licensing question (hopefully).
